Return-It is thrilled to serve as partner for Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic), as the Network Operator for South East Metropolitan Melbourne and Gippsland region.
The LGA's that Return-It will service include the Bass Coast, Baw Baw, East Gippsland, Latrobe, South Gippsland, Wellington, Bayside, Cardinia, Casey, Frankston, Glen Eira, Greater Dandenong, Kingston, Monash, Mornington Peninsula, Port Phillip and Stonnington. More than 190 container refund points will be established across these council areas.
Beverage Retailers
Each time you purchase an eligible drink from a retail outlet a 10c deposit is included in the price of your purchase. By participating in CDS Vic and returning your eligible containers to a Return-It refund collection point you will receive your 10c deposit back proving that not only does CDS Vic provide great value from a recycling perspective, but equally a great economic outcome for all beverage consumers in Victoria.
You the consumer
You are able to get your 10c per container refunded at one of almost 200 refund collection points, to be established around the Return-It zones. The refund collection points range in size from large cash-back depots, to reverse vending machines, and small format over-the-counter points. You can choose to save the refund for yourself or donate it to your favourite charity. Drop-and-go donation points will also be available.
By not returning your eligible container, you are effectively ‘out-of-pocket’. It is financially and environmentally worth it to Return-It. Every container has the potential to live another life, and every Victorian has the potential to help recyclable items stay out of our oceans, parks and landfill… and to donate their refund.

Return-It
Receive your 10-cent refund when you return your eligible containers to a Return-It refund collection point. Return-It provides a range of formats to suit everyone's needs, including cash-back depots, Reverse Vending Machines, retail outlets and donation points.
Back to you
The money is now in your hands and the choice is yours. You can elect to establish a Return-It account, to become a member and receive your refund by Electronic Funds Transfer, donate to a charity, or you can receive your refund as a shopping voucher at our Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs). If you would prefer to receive an instant cash refund, our network of Return-It cash-back depots will all provide cash for containers.
