We’ve been refunding Western Australians since 2020!
Return-It officially launched in Western Australia on 1 October 2020, bringing a ‘change for good’ to Western Australians. Before you throw your eligible containers away, we encourage you to think about our social responsibility model and charity support. Return-It is an easy way to deposit containers whilst helping the environment and community, encouraging you to ‘create a habit’ of recycling for a greener future.
The Retail Store.
A deposit for recycling will be included in the price of eligible containers that you purchase from your favourite retail store. So, when you get you get your 10-cent refund for each container your return you’re getting back your own money!
You the consumer
A refund will be provided per eligible container you return at a Return-It Western Australia Express or Depot location, which you can choose to save or donate to charity. By not returning your eligible container, you are effectively ‘out-of-pocket’. It is financially and environmentally worth it to Return-It. Every container has the potential to live another life, and every Aussie has the potential to help recyclable items stay out of our oceans, parks and landfill… and to donate their refund.

Return-It
Receive a 10-cent refund when you return your eligible containers to a Return-It Western Australia location. Return-It provides both Depots and Express Drop off, many conveniently located within charity stores. Return-It is proud to partner with WorkPower, Paraquad, Intelife, Milligan and Regional Alliance enabling them to participate in the scheme and create employment opportunities for disadvantaged people.

The money is now in your hands and the choice is yours. At our Express sites you can receive a deposit into your Return-It account or opt to donate to a charity. It’s important to be aware that you need to be registered or have a Containers for Change ID to receive your refund. To create your ID, head to the containers for change website at www.containersforchange.com.au. Or, at a Return-It Depot, you have the option to receive an instant cash refund.
